Led by Executive Head Chef Scott Davies, our kitchen celebrates Scotland’s finest seasonal ingredients, working closely with local growers and producers and taking inspiration from the surrounding landscape.

Spend your days on the land with a wine safari along Balquhidder Glen, a farm tour among the farm animals, exploring with RVIVAL, or a quiet morning on the loch. Cool off with a riverside plunge, then warm up in the sauna. Whatever you choose, you’ll return to roaring fires, exceptional food and a comfortable bed, with a whisky dram or two to round off the evening.

There’s always something happening at Monachyle Mhor. Join us for wine safaris in Balquhidder Glen, tastings with views of Loch Voil, and Wabi Sabi Sunday, a hands-on day of craft-making where you’ll create something to take home. Learn traditional skills in the wild, wander the hills on a pack pony walk, or toast the season with festive fires at Christmas and Hogmanay in our lochside hotel, deep in the Trossachs.

HOW TO FIND US

From the A84, turn off at the sign for Balquhidder, near Mhor 84. Follow the road through the underpass and into picturesque Balquhidder Glen, continuing along the winding single-track road for approximately 6 miles. Follow the Monachyle Mhor signs along the way, and you’ll find us overlooking Loch Voil and Loch Doine.
Please take your time on the single-track road and use the passing places where necessary.
