Frequently Asked Questions:

If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for here then please email Sidetracked.

One month before the festival, they will email all attendees with a handbook with routes, maps, advice, hints and tips to get the best out of the weekend.

What are the event timings?

The festival ‘doors open’ at 8am on Saturday morning for registration and set up, and with activities kicking off from 10am – plenty of time for a coffee then. If you’d like to arrive on Friday evening to set up your tent or van then that’s completely fine but please note that there will be limited facilities and we may still be setting up!

The event officially finishes after the Sunday night entertainment. They’ll likely still be coffee and breakfast available on the Monday morning but no supervised activities, and you’ll need to check out by 11am.

Parking and getting around?

We have on-site parking for guests and this will be split up to allow campers to park as close as possible to the camping area. We also have a dedicated camper van field with space for around 30 vans. Please ensure that you pre-book your van camping spot as soon as possible.

We’re in the process of looking at shuttle services to and from the train station. If you think you might require this service could you let us know as soon as possible.

Kids and dogs

The festival is aimed at an adult audience and the set up won’t be suitable for young children. Bring your teenagers if you like but they’re your responsibility. Friendly dogs are allowed on campsite and the outdoor spaces but must be on a lead at all times.

Food and drink

You can bring your own food and drink to the campsite / van park but please refrain from bringing this up to the main hotel/barn. There will be a range of food trucks/takeaway services catering for all dietary requirements plus coffee and a bar (of course). You are encouraged to bring your own reusable cutlery and drinking cups. Food and drink isn’t included in the ticket price. We’d advise you to at least bring a few snacks for the activities.

What should I bring?

The site is quite large so there’ll be some walking to be done. Bring decent footwear and clothing for cold and wet weather (hopefully you won’t need it). You might also need some bedding depending on your accommodation choice. The site will be well-lit and in June the sun is up most of the weekend, but a torch is a good idea. Please also bring a towel as we’ll have showers on site for you.

Please bring your own power banks for your phones and devices (if you wish to use them at all!) as there is limited charging available. The campsite does not have power outlets.

Wifi

There is wifi up around the hotel area and pretty strong 4/5G in various spots around the site.

Refunds and cancellations

If you can’t make it, then let Sidetracked know as soon as possible. They can probably transfer day tickets from one day to the other (subject to capacity) and will do their best to resell your tickets. Sidetracked are unable to offer refunds after the 1st May. If you’re selling your ticket on to others, please let them know so we can update our records.

Accessibility & Support

At Monachyle Mhor we have some good and accessible paths and roads but also some tricky areas to navigate – as long as you’re aware of this and up for a challenge then we’ll do our very best to help. Please get in touch in advance to discuss your concerns and needs – whatever they may be. As long as our teams are aware we can provide any support needed.

Behaviour and consideration

We’re creating a unique and friendly experience. It’s supposed to be fun (of course!) but it’d be good to play nice. Treat the site, the team and each other with respect. Look after each other, don’t take drugs or be daft. Anyone being a pain in the arse will be evicted without refund.
